A rant of pure frustration in response to the suffering in our World ‘better out than in’, married with with Michel Leunig’s poem, set to music by Su Frisk chant, ‘Let it go’ learned in Jen’s hen-night Roman bath! Once fully expressed, and digested, experiences can compost and pave our way on, with forgiveness as the key that opens the door to the possibility and potential of infinite solutions always available.

Sometimes I feel like crying
when I hear the pain
in the World around me
driving gentle folk insane
Sweet human hearts are breaking
as tragedies unfold
a baby’s body broken
before it gets to grow

While old folk dropped like litter
in corridors they wait
to receive medication well
attentions all they crave
Forgotten by sons and daughters
too busy on their phones
sucked in by social media
or re-re-repeats of Games of Thrones

Sometimes its so frustrating
makes me wanna scream and shout
how these sad individuals
kill in the name of God
From Manchester to Syria
Kabul, Stockholm, Brussels, France, Pakistan,
London the list goes on
while swallowed whole in some distant ocean
despairing souls didn’t stand a chance

No wonder we are weeping
witnessing the pain
upon poor people’s faces
while politicians with airs and graces
Tell us what? to teach our children
who they pump full with vaccinations
and heads full of pointless information
result an epidemic of anxiety and alienation

Sometimes I feel like crying out
its all too much to bear
Trumped by our own reflections
Selfies smiling everywhere
quite quick to point the finger
swearing its all out there
while these age old mere mortal mistakes
mistake, mistake
